GW 2005 is an integrated set of applications for industrial automation and visualization. The main advantage of the GW 2005 is the modular solution which is able to cover any requirements of the client. Our system is supported by the long standing experience of our developers for control, monitoring and information systems in the area of aviation, the energy sector and transport. It is possible to build a system from a simple one and then, with further expansion of hardware (within the requirement of software changes) it is possible to achieve a fully redundant and distributed system. The main advantage is the provision of a uniform user interface for monitored and controlled systems which decreases the load on the technicians and minimizes the number of necessary monitors in the control room. In terms of production control it has a uniform presentation of data with the option to evaluate the reasons for the origination of faults due to the display showing trends and alarms. Last but not least, it provides the available data at any place and at any time, the only limiting factor is the network accessibility of the data. The system properties also include the option for the integration of other elements into the GW 2005 environment, e.g. CCTV, documentation for individual equipment and relations to the technical information system. At the same time, the GW 2005 serves as a data interface for other systems which do not have a direct relation to the control and monitoring of technology. The system for automation and visualisation also includes the presentation and processing of the gathered data. All monitored data and interventions into the system are stored into the Microsoft SQL database. Using a portal solution, the data is provided for later analysis. There is also an output for the exchange of data with the information system and the evaluation of data for quality control according to ISO standards and other client audits.
