IEI TANK-XM811-i7AC-R11: A powerful fanless industrial computer with GPU support for AI and edge computing

TANK-XM811 is a powerful embedded industrial computer designed for demanding applications in industrial automation, machine vision, video analytics, and edge computing. The platform utilises 12th Gen Intel® Core™ processors in combination with the Intel® R680E industrial chipset, which is designed for long-term availability and stable operation in embedded systems. The device is designed as fanless industrial system, where a robust extruded aluminum chassis with a pin-fin heatsink passively dissipates heat into the environment. This makes the computer suitable for operation in environments with dust, vibrations, or continuous operation.

The modular architecture and support for high-performance graphics cards up to 350mm in length allow the system to be used for computationally intensive applications such as image processing, AI inference, or video analytics.

The TANK-XM811 utilises Intel® Core™ processors with high computing power suitable for industrial applications and real-time data analysis. The Intel® R680E chipset ensures long-term platform stability.

Fanless design with optional external cooling

The system is designed as a fanless embedded computer without internal fans. The aluminum chassis acts as a large passive heat sink that dissipates heat from the processor and other components.

For configurations with higher thermal loads—such as when using high-performance GPU cards or in environments with higher temperatures—the system can be supplemented with an optional external fan that improves airflow around the chassis.

  • frame grabbers for industrial cameras
  • acceleration cards
  • specialized industrial I/O cards

Thanks to this modular architecture, the system can be adapted to specific applications and its functionality expanded without having to replace the entire device.
