About the Conference
The conference was held in the GONG multifunctional hall in Dolní oblast Vítkovice in Ostrava and attracted hundreds of experts from the water management sector. The general partners of this year’s edition were Ostravské vodárny a kanalizace a.s. (OVAK) and Severomoravské vodovody a kanalizace Ostrava a.s. (SmVaK) – key players in the water supply sector in Moravia and our long-term partners.
The conference program offered current information on legislation, modern technologies, and strategic challenges in the field. Main topics included the impacts of the 2024 floods, the National Implementation Plan for the Urban Wastewater Treatment Directive, and the use of advanced technologies in water supply.
Our Presentation at GONG
As part of the accompanying presentation, we had presentation space no. 37 on the 2nd floor of the GONG hall, where we had the opportunity to present our products and solutions directly to conference participants and establish valuable contacts with industry experts.
Our Solutions in the Spotlight
ELVAC company products and services were presented in two key lectures:
PRIS – Modern Tool for Water Supply Infrastructure Management
Ing. Petr Konečný, MBA, statutory director and vice-chairman of the board of OVAK a.s., in his lecture, among other things, presented the PRIS operational information system, which we are developing on a custom basis for OVAK. This comprehensive system optimizes asset management, workforce planning, resource management, and many other operational functions. The PRIS project is an excellent example of long-term cooperation and digital transformation in water supply.
Water Supply Dispatch and Big Data with Artificial Intelligence
Ing. Marcel Ulrich, technical director of OVAK a.s., presented an advanced solution for water supply dispatch and Big Data processing using artificial intelligence. The presentation materials were prepared by Ing. Josef Stromský, Ph.D. from our company and Ing. Jiří Kašparec from VAE CONTROLS, s.r.o. A key role in this solution is played by our product IRONSCALE – a platform for analyzing and processing large volumes of data in real time.
