ARMADEX Ex-M OZC 3: Digital ATEX/IECEx camera for explosive environments (zones 2/22)

The compact ARMADEX Ex-M OZC 3 camera is suitable for maintenance and inspections in gas, chemical and energy plants, FPSO and LNG due to its design. It offers 4K/30p video, 12 MP sensor, 4x optical zoom (max. 14x), special modes for dust and low light, GPS/temperature/pressure logging and connection to Ex smart devices via Wi-Fi/Bluetooth. The xenon flash is deactivated at the factory (ATEX), the LED light remains functional.

Key features

  • ATEX/IECEx for zones 2 (gas) and 22 (dust), 4x lossless optical zoom, 14x maximum (opt.+digital).
  • Modes for difficult conditions: Hazardous/Construction (dust suppression, shadow extraction, outdoor light), Document/Label Capture, Slow Shutter, Macro from ~1 cm.
  • Body resistance: drop from 2.1 m, IP68 (15 m), −10 to +40 °C operation, dustproof, crushproof 100 kgf, anti-fog double cover glass.
  • Sensors and logging: GPS (GLONASS, Galileo, QZSS), compass, pressure gauge, temperature and motion sensor.
  • Connectivity and workflow: USB-C (3.0), micro HDMI (D), Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2 BLE; integration with OI.Share (Ex smartphone).

Detailed technical description

  • Sensor/image processor: 12 MP, 1/2.3″ BSI CMOS, TruePic VIII, low noise and high sharpness even in low light.
  • Lens/zoom: 25–100 mm (eq.), F2.0–F4.9, 4× optical, Microscope/Tele-converter x2/x4 for extreme details (from approx. 1 cm).
  • Stabilization: Sensor-Shift Image Stabilization – stable images even when walking during video inspections.
  • Recording: 4K/30p, FHD/60p, RAW/JPEG, sequence up to ~20 fps, interval/Time-lapse up to 299 frames.
  • Display and control: LCD 3.0″ ~1,037k dots, robust controls suitable for gloves.
  • Power supply and endurance: Li-ion LI-92B, approx. 340 frames per charge (approximate).
  • Economical and safe light: xenon flash off according to ATEX, LED is active.
  • SD cards: UHS-I support, SanDisk/KIOXIA recommended, microSD adapters are not supported, for video min. Class 6.
  • Accessories: Rugged Case included, SanDisk SDXC Extreme Pro 128 GB SD card (200 MB/s) included.
