Getac ZX10-EX: A robust tablet for explosive environments

The Getac ZX10-EX is certified according to ATEX and IECEx for use in zones 2/22, which means that it is able to work in potentially explosive atmospheres such as oil refineries, chemical plants or gas pipelines.

The tablet offers excellent performance, intuitive control, energy efficiency and a wide range of applications that you expect from a device with the Android operating system. Its slim design makes it ideal for video conferencing, remote support, gathering information or filling out forms in the field.

Large display with easy operation and good performance

The ZX10-EX tablet is equipped with a 10.1-inch display with WUXGA (1920×1200) resolution and LumiBond technology, which ensures high readability of the device even in strong light. The display is touch-sensitive and supports two input modes: multi-touch and digitizer. This allows users to easily control the tablet with their fingers or stylus, even when wearing gloves or in the rain.

The tablet is powered by an Intel® Core™ i5-10210U processor with a frequency of 1.6 GHz, which can be increased up to a maximum of 4.2 GHz using Intel® Turbo Boost technology. However, users can also choose another processor including Intel® Core™ i5-10310U, i7-10510U or i7-10610U with Intel® vPro® technology for better security and management.

The tablet has 8 GB of DDR4 memory and a 256 GB SSD disk with the possibility of expansion up to 32 GB of memory and 1 TB disk. The tablet also features an 8MP camera on the back and an FHD camera on the front. This can be used not only for taking high-quality photos and videos, but also for scanning barcodes.

The Getac ZX10-EX also has five programmable buttons that can be adjusted according to the user’s needs.

Wireless connection and a wide variety of connectors

The Getac ZX10-EX tablet supports Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, dedicated GPS and optional 4G LTE mobile broadband with integrated GPS. It is optionally equipped with a smart card reader, an RFID reader or a camera for face authentication using Windows Hello technology. The tablet is also protected by a TPM 2.0 module and a Kensington lock.

The device has USB 3.2 Gen 2, HDMI 1.4, audio in/out and DC in connectors. In addition, users can choose from several optional expansion slots that allow the connection of a barcode reader, a USB port, a LAN port, a VGA port or a SIM card.

Maximum resistance to extreme conditions

The Getac ZX10-EX is designed to work in potentially explosive environments. It is IP66 and MIL-STD-810H certified, meaning it can withstand extreme temperatures, humidity, vibration, shock, dust, water and salt spray.

The device is also ATEX and IECEx certified for use in zones 2/22. This allows it to be used in environments where an explosive atmosphere, whether gas, vapor, mist or dust, can ignite.

The tablet also features LifeSupport technology, which allows users to easily replace the battery without having to turn it off. For the longest possible device life, the Getac ZX10-EX has two batteries with a capacity of 4990 mAh or 9980 mAh.
