We built a large-scale projection wall made of LED panels for the Mír Theatre. It is part of the modern scenography of theatre productions.

Application description

The projection wall can project both static images and videos and can be divided into 4 separate segments.

The wall is mounted on a supporting structure that we designed and custom-made. It is made so that there is no risk of it collapsing during the performance. At the same time, the individual segments are equipped with handling wheels so that they can be easily moved as needed. Each segment weighs approximately 500 kg and when all 4 are connected together, they form a wall measuring 8 × 3.4 m.

The display is provided by LED panels and is a so-called cabinet design, where the rear part of the panel is protected by a cover to prevent electric shock during use. The entire projection surface, made up of individual LED panels, has a resolution that allows for detailed projection in the form of films.

Another important part for the reliable functioning of the projection wall are the technological switchboards, which we designed and manufactured specifically for this application. An integral part of the delivery are also special computers that ensure the display of the image both on separate segments and on connected units.

The LED wall modernizes the scenography of individual productions of the Mír Theater. It replaces or supplements static backdrops with a dynamic visual surface that allows for rapid changes in the environment, precise work with light and the projection of realistic and abstract motifs in synchrony with sound.

The technology expands the creative possibilities of directors and brings a new experience of watching a performance to the audience.
