NSI MKBE87 Keyboard: Robust Design with Trackball

The highly durable MKBE87S keyboard with integrated ergonomic trackball is designed for use in extreme industrial and military environments. It combines full-size backlit keys, a precise pointing device, and MIL-SPEC construction, making it ideal for command stations, industrial HMIs, defense applications, and critical infrastructure.

The MKBE87S is a desktop model designed for desks and operator workstations. For solid integration into panels and switchboards, the MKBE87N panel mount version is also available, which shares the same technical features but is optimised for built-in mounting.

Designed for extreme conditions

The keyboard meets the demanding MIL-STD-810G and MIL-STD-461G standards, is fully sealed to IP65, and resists vibration, shock, moisture, dust, and chemical cleaning. The robust aluminum chassis ensures a long service life even in continuous operation.

The rubber dome keyboard mechanism is rated for 10 million keystrokes, provides excellent tactile feedback, and is suitable for use with gloves. Key backlighting ensures comfortable operation even in poor lighting conditions.

Precise control with a trackball

The integrated 38 mm trackball uses infrared optics and long-life mechanical switches. It allows for very precise cursor control without the need for an external mouse, which is ideal for cramped workplaces or mobile and military applications.
