The embedded systems trade fair took place in Nuremberg from 9 to 11 April, and this year it was really big. It counted 952 exhibitors and 27,000 visitors, including us.

We’ve seen hardware innovations with dedicated processors, embedded graphics processors, artificial intelligence accelerators, and countless different PCs and motherboards. We were also very interested in the Intel stand. They had a virtual car salesman with a vehicle interior viewer or a voice-controlled robot picking and carrying items.

Overall, it was evident from the fair that, in addition to AI, the trend of embedded systems is also an emphasis on energy-efficient solutions and optimization of consumption.
